Race Across the World
With today’s technology, traveling across the world is not that hard anymore. But what if you were not allowed to use it? In Race Across the World , five duos compete against each other in a race across Central and South America. In two months, they must travel from Mexico City to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. The contestants are stripped of their cell phones and bank cards. They are only allowed to use cash – the amount they would normally have spent on their flight. Because taking the plane, that’s not allowed. A tough, but extraordinary competition in which contestants are immersed in the local culture of the 17 countries they travel through.
In the online show Race Across The World: Unseen, the show’s contestants look back on their journey after each episode, using never-before-seen footage.
Race Across The World airs Wednesdays at 8:30 PM on RTL 4.
